| JC Prabhakar to surrender tomorrow |

ANANTAPUR: Brother of J C Diwakar Reddy and Tadipatri municipal chairman, J C Prabhakar Reddy, said here in a press release Sunday that he would surrender to the police on May 5. The police suspect Prabhakar Reddy was responsible for the violence that erupted in the district after the just-concludent Assembly and parliamentary elections. He said he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for a lip injury he sustained in the violent incidents in Tadipatri. Brushing aside thr reports that he was absconding since violence broke out in the district, he wondered if it was a crime to undergo treatment for an injury. TDP leaders were politicising the issue, he claimed. Prbhakar Reddy said it was the Congress workers who bore the brunt of violence but TDP leaders were blaming his party supporters for what had happened. |
