SANGAREDDY: Will the revolt against the attitude and style of functioning of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhara Rao blow off like a bubble or create serious problem to the party? This question is lingering in the minds of party workers and Telangana supporters.
“At the initial stages, people of the Telangana region sincerely believed the commitment of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, which however, waned along with time in the eight long years,” feels a Telangana supporter. Pointing out at the dwindling majorities to the TRS candidates in the region, he said that it was clearly a self-goal by the TRS president.
Introspection needed Stressing the need for introspection by the party cadre and the leadership for the debacle in the recent general elections, a party leader from Sangareddy says that inability to run an office at the district headquarters itself shows the party’s situation. “It’s good that someone has raised voice against the style of functioning of the partychief .
Now the leadership will have address certain issues which have been kept aside for many years,” says another leader. However, many leaders are not sure of agitating for a separate State. “It involves getting funds, coordinating different sections and bringing them on a single platform. There is no other leader who can do all that. It is only Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, at least as long as no alternative to him emerges,” said another leader who attended the ‘compromise meeting’ at Cheryal in Warangal on Friday.
